Datanet’s Professional Staff
John V. Cignatta, Ph.D., P.E. is the President of Datanet Engineering. He is the Senior Corrosion Engineer on staff with multiple accreditations and a wealth of knowledge relating to real world problems. John has provided expert witness testimonies in courtroom trials for insurance companies, private clients and government agencies. He manages and directs engineering assignments including fuel system, design, compliance, failure analysis, corrosion and environmental projects. John continues to write and teach the certified AST inspector course for the Steel Tank Institute and MDE UST Inspector courses. A few of his certifications include: NACE Corrosion Specialist, NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist, API 653 Inspector, and STI – AST Instructor.

Thomas Gibb has been with Datanet for over 20 years. He is our Technical Manager relating to all electrical engineering, Cathodic Protection Systems and utility locating issues. His certifications include: NACE Certified Corrosion Technologist, STI – AST Inspector.

Andrew V. Cignatta is a Project Manager with over 10 years experience evaluating failing coatings and oversees all fuel systems projects and UST/AST inspections performed by Datanet. He also directs all day-to-day proceedings involved with the Datanet Engineering general office. Some of his certifications include: NACE Corrosion Technician, STI – AST Inspector, MDE UST Installer/Remover.
